Hello! Well, we are now officially into our first week of training (week 18 counting backwards), or if you are Amy and have gone mad having decided to do two marathons two weeks apart, and are actually into week 16! I hope you all are doing well, and feeling good. The first week is fun, exciting, and tiring! Don't give up. Keep going!
What are you all listening to this week? My nano is at the beach, so I am without MUSIC until Saturday. BLAH! But I am excited to add a few new songs to my running mix, so let me know what you got...
Let the blogs roll on as we run run run!

with week 1 behind me I have a few words...remember that this is a process. week one (for me) was tough. legs are tired and sore but I executed my training as scheduled. I am following the FIRST training plan so last week I ran on Tuesday (sprints) - 1 mile warm up, 3 x 1600 at an "uncomfortable pace" and 1.5 mile cool down, I think it amounted to 6 - 6.5 miles. Thursday was 2 miles easy, 2 miles at another uncomfortable pace and then two more miles easy. Long run was a little crafty as I ran from my house, downtown and then participated in a local 5k as my last three miles. It gave me something to look forward to at the end and more water stops that I didn't have to deal with. It ended up being just shy of 14.5 miles...uh, week 1?!?! I was sore but what did I expect?! I ran it with a couple friends and chatted the whole way. It was fun (except for the last 1.5 miles)
